Doing it like a bunny

by Patsyfox on June 12, 2010

Before cats became my pet de choix, there were rabbits.  Lots of them.  But ours was a star crossed relationship, because no sooner was one replaced after succumbing to myxomatosis, than the next one would dig its way out of my little rabbit palace.  Why the desperation to escape?  What was so bad about getting hosed down on a hot day?  A lot, according to my brother Tex who ran screaming at me to get the hose off the *!@##! rabbits, and admittedly they did die of shock or something shortly after.  Cats proved a lot hardier.

But the bunny du jour is a little more grown up – Playboy turns 50 this week, and to celebrate I’m spending the next week drawing bunnies, beginning with my favourite bunny of all – Debbie Harry.

So I guess I’ll be going at it like a bunny.

Have you got your Blondie tickets yet?

She was so freaking hot! Still is really.

Argh, I have not – I don’t think either venue is acceptable! The winery – yawn. The Palais – locked into seats with no bar. What’s a fan to do? Saw Blondie last time at the Palais and was frustrated by it also. Do you know how much tiks are?

Totally! I can’t believe she was born in 1945. Actually it’s almost her birthday. Thank god for her being a cancerian is all I can say, because without her all I had was Paul McCartney, Lady Di, and Tom Cruise!

I scored 12th row in the stalls. Mwa ha ha ha! $145 for the good ones, but I agree, a crap venue for bad seats. I took the day off just to get them – had nothing to do with some MORON t-boning me and writing off my car yesterday! Don’t have wheels? Who cares, I got Debbie & Chrissie. My mum was born in ’45, also in July – I wish I hadn’t read that bit now. How will I ever separate the two? ….. um, easy.
ps – they’ll add another date at the Palais, you watch.

Oh that’s good thinking – surely I could score top seats then should I decide….? Sigh, I’d also like to see Leonard Cohen but am afraid to look at ticket prices – may need to sell the car. Speaking of which – you were t-boned?! That’s awful : ( I take it you were at least not harmed. Fuckers! x
