No news to anyone, I say there can’t be enough cats and kittens in the world. This will probably be brought up when I’m found at the age of 95, eaten by my hungry hoard of cats, lying amongst a pile of books and sketches, purple hair splaying in every direction and iTunes still on shuffle. I don’t care! Since I could walk I’ve been torturing my mother by bringing home stray cats – who can resist their beautiful feline features? Those little pussy noses! Wittle whiskers!!
I love it even more when they make their way into high fashion. This sketch is homage to my gorgeous and uber talented friend Paul Barry, one of many incredible images he art-directed for Gucci. Perfectalina, meow.

I have compassion for your mother and the torture you must have put her through when dragging the strays back home. Poor mother! As for the fluffy arrogant feline (for which I have little fondness), I can hear the purring and the soft patter of those cute paws.
You have such a talent for bringing life to your gorgeous illustrations. Look at the shine on those boots! I can almost hear them squeaking with every little movement. This illustration is the ‘cat’s whiskers’.

Thanks Karen! Yes an illustration would have been good, but then again it may have bumped the pic of me that shows I’ve got the same hairstyle as when I was 8!!
