Last night a colour saved my mind

by Patsyfox on May 13, 2010

As a general statement in life, I can be pretty black & white.  I like it/you or I don’t;  I’m ecstatic or maudlin;  I drink the bar dry or want to eat macrobiotic & run a marathon. Otherwise known as bi-polar.

The theme of yesterday was stupid m***********ng people and i spent the better part of it incandescent with rage.  Quite homicidal in fact.  Until a drawing session where I was overcome with the desire to colour the world yellow.  In terms of colour psychology, yellow causes a rise in respiratory rate, heartbeat, and blood pressure (though not as much as red), and people are “apt to loose their temper in it’s presence”.  So go figure, with every loaded brush I deposited the pigment onto the page, I felt calmed and uplifted.  The fine company was undoubtedly part of it, but suffice to say, last night a colour saved my mind.

I fucking hate yellow, it indeed makes me incandescent with rage! It is the colour of sickness, pus, hepatitis, jaundice…need I go on. Only a canary looks good in yellow.

I was considering that exact shade of yellow in some $1 pants at the op shop the other day but the fit was so hideous that I left them there. Nearly bought them just for the label, JEFF GALLANO, which made me giggle as it looked like a bogan attempt to link with John Galliano… but I think he’s actually a legit Paris designer…. oh well, the pants still looked crap!

I want to dye my hair yellow and wear a yellow suit and come around to Mary’s for dinner? 😛

I don’t mind yellow, specially the earthy mustard yellow which can look amazing with dusty pinks, Mani and Dries Van Noten does yellow so well!

Thanks for the drinks on the tram ride Foxy, I swear at one stage i thought it we had travelled for ever.

LOL @ Mr Juice. Did I say that yellow is the colour of most vomit?
