Buildings are pretty much the easiest things in the world to draw. They don’t move, have complex body shaping, or involve understanding the centre of gravity. What could more closely resemble a walk in the park?! Which is why I’m always surprised when people say “OH you can draw buildings?!” or ask if I could draw a bottle of wine and some glasses (I have a particular affinity with this one), for example.
If I can draw beautiful women in all manner of contorted positions, then yes, YES, I can draw buildings.
(Here’s some that were commissioned for the windows of a certain major Melbourne department store, inspired by my travel sketchbooks – I really do get some wonderful commissions.)
